art glass retrospective // 1973 – 2005
From 1973 to 2005, Baldwin reimagined the medieval art of stained glass through his own modern design sensibility, transforming it into a medium for bold sculptural forms and abstract compositions. His distinctive visual language—alive with spatial depth and three-dimensional cues—sets his work apart from traditional flat-glass artistry. This innovative approach found expression in residential and corporate commissions in Vancouver, B.C., Eugene, Oregon, and Waikiki, Hawaii.
Baldwin also developed a complementary body of constructive sculptures fashioned from mirror glass.
